Our Monthly Memory Verse:
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. — Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)

Operation Christmas Child

Published October 13, 2017 by Tiffany Mayhew in Uncategorized

Operation Christmas Child season is here!
Previously our gifts blessed children in the Ukraine and Honduras. Last year 65 boxes were sent to Kenya. It is exciting to consider where they might go this year. There are three opportunities to support this ministry:
PRAYER – Please pray for the success of this mission throughout the world, that the child recipients may come to know Jesus’ love for them.

PARTICIPATION – It is fun to shop for small toys, school supplies, and hygiene items (NO CANDY or TOOTHPASTE) that will fill a box and bring joy to a child! Empty boxes with instructions will be available in the Narthex beginning Sunday, October 15th. We now have cardboard and plastic boxes; next year we hope to convert to all plastic. It is also acceptable to use your own standard cardboard or plastic container. Please return filled boxes to the church by Sunday, November 5th. Note: The shipping has increased from $7.00 to $9.00 per box. However, if you prefer not to include this, the cost will be covered through financial donations.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT – For those who want to help but prefer not to shop, monetary donations may be placed in the offering plate or given to the church office designated for OCC.

Any questions should be directed to Amy Baney at 632-8514 or amybbaney@gmail.com.

The goal for this year is 75 boxes. Support for this special mission project is greatly appreciated!
