Our Monthly Memory Verse:
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. — John 10:9-10 (NIV)

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” ~ John 10:10

Dear Friends,

Abundant life. The promise of Jesus to his followers is that we are meant to have life, and have it abundantly! With all the construction and upgrades going on around here I am reminded that life needs the touch of the Master’s hand in order for it to be “abundant.

We have been talking over the past month about how to go deeper in our relationship with God. It’s been a time focused on rest, renewal and spiritual reconstruction. And just like the builders at work on our sanctuary wall to fix the leaks, we need the Spirit of God to fix in us those sacred rhythms that will bring spiritual transformation to our lives.

I hope you will join us this Sunday for our continuing series based on Ruth Haley Barton’s book “Sacred Rhythms: Arranging our Lives for Spiritual Transformation.” I pray that we will allow the Master Builder to go to work on our lives as we continue to learn how to fulfill our deep down desire for more of God than we have right now.

And here’s an update on our Capital Fund Campaign. The video system upgrade is completed and the necessary work on replacing the wall in the sanctuary is going very well. We are grateful to the Albemarle Company for their grant of $6,200 towards the video upgrade and Allied Construc-tion for their tithe of $4,737 towards the wall. On behalf of the Leadership Council, I would also like to thank all of you who have contributed over and above your regular giving toward our goal of $60,000. Together, we have raised over $20,000 in just over two months!

Thank you for your generosity.

In Christ, the source of life abundant! Pastor Eric
